The polling numbers Trump was referring to were likely from a Reuters/Ipsos poll that asked respondents, "Do you approve or disapprove about the way Donald Trump is handling his job as President?" The poll that Trump appears to be citing, one from Reuters/Ipsos, Trump's approval rating improved from 11 percent to 22 percent among African-American men, not all African-American voters. "We don't know how to think for ourselves", he said. "You need to get out of that house". One has to see that as a positive way for two people to see each other's point of view, and possibly get others to do so.
