First lady Melania Trump unveiled her "Be Best" initiative on Monday, a campaign to help bring awareness to the most important issues facing the nation's children including overall well-being, social media and opioid abuse.

On Monday, she formally announced her platform as first lady.

"Her focus all along has been children, and this launch is meant to formalize what her role will be for the next three to seven years", Stephanie Grisham, Melania's spokeswoman told the Washington Post.

Mrs. Trump's announcement also came as her husband remains under intense legal pressure from a special counsel's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and is facing questions over $130,000 in hush money paid by one of his attorneys to a porn actress who says she had sex with Trump in 2006.

"The first lady lives here at the White House", she continued.

Most modern wives of presidents have opted to choose one standout point of interest and use their elevated status to promote or encourage behavior. However, since her approval rating is higher than the president's himself, people can only hope that the first lady will actually make positive change with her new initiative.

Both the parties feel that it should be easy to defeat the BJP in a one-to-one fight in both the constituencies in western UP. Jayant said the bypolls in west UP will resurrect his party which got decimated in 2014 Lok Sabha and 2017 state polls.

"If we truly listen to what our kids have to say, whether it be their concerns or ideas, adults can provide them the support and tools they need to grow up to be happy and productive adults who contribute positively to society and their global communities", she said.

Trump's agenda for children has already included visits to children's hospitals and schools and an invitation to 12 children for a White House listening session.

For Trump, who didn't move to the White House full-time until June of previous year, settling on a definitive initiative has taken a relatively longer amount of time compared to some of her recent predecessors.

"Thank you ahead of time for sharing your own stories and your thinking on your struggles and triumphs".

In March, the first lady hosted representatives of the major online and social media companies at the White House to discuss cyberbullying and internet safety. Myra Gutin, a historian of American first ladies at Rider University, told NPR that actually, what Melania has to deal with might actually work to her advantage.

During that meeting, the first lady appeared to indirectly address the elephant in the room: her husband's frequent use of name-calling in his tweets. "She seems to sort of roll with whatever occurs, and the fact that she's going to get this initiative rolled out and finally moving seems to say to me that she's going to be focused on the good that she can accomplish while she's in the White House", she said. "I have been criticized for my commitment to tackling this issue and I know that will continue, but it will not stop me from doing what I know is right". Former first lady Michelle Obama made efforts toward improving child education, poverty and nutrition.
