It is back where it belongs and doing what it does the best. CSK defeated the SRH in a hard fought match which saw no batsman from both the teams being able to bat easily. CSK lost their first wicket before making their first run, and that was a big inspiring moment for SRH.

In reply, CSK found themselves reeling at 62 for six in the 13th over before South Africa's Faf du Plessis stroked a match-winning unbeaten 67 from 42 balls to put his side into next Sunday's final with five balls to spare. Chennai suffered early setbacks during their chase.

Defending a modest total, Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave Sunrisers an early breakthrough by removing Shane Watson (0) in the first over. Suresh Raina started with a hat-trick of boundaries against Sandeep Sharma but was the first of the two victims of Siddarth Kaul.

Hyderabad will now have to beat the victor of the eliminator between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals in order to progress through to the final. Rashid and Bhuvneshwar had one over each left, while Kaul had two.

Off the very next ball, Ambati Rayudu (0) was also clean bowled by Kaul.

Afghanistan legspinner Rashid Khan (2-11) brilliantly mixed up his googlies and sharp leg breaks in his four overs as he dismissed Dhoni (9) and Dwayne Bravo (7).

NHL: Tampa Bay cut the lead in the series against Washington
During the regular season, Washington was a strong home team, playing in front of loud, red-wearing sellout crowds in every game. Washington fell flat on Tuesday night in Game 3 after the Lightning were up 3-0 after only a few minutes into the second period.

With 43 needed off the last three overs, du Plessis, who opened the batting, launched into Carlos Brathwaite in the 18th over, smashing him for 20 runs which included two sixes and two fours. Jadeja bowled 14 dot balls in his spell and conceded only one boundary - that too off the last ball of his spell.

Wary of the dew factor later in the evening, Dhoni had earlier opted to field against 2016 champions Hyderabad and paceman Deepak Chahar gave Chennai a flawless start by dismissing opener Shikhar Dhawan for a first ball duck.

Harbhajan Singh could only manage two runs off nine balls before being run out. They are backed by a well-oiled bowing line-up. His slower ball is not that much different from his regular ball, so if he gets it wrong, you can hit it and trust your swing. The 29-year old was 8 from 15 balls before the start of the 18th over, when he decided he had seen enough and cut loose. Williamson came out as if he was having practice at the nets.

"It was great that guys came in and hit a few boundaries in the end".

Mumbai (Maharashtra), May 23 (ANI): At the press conference of IPL, in Mumbai, Sunrisers Hyderbad team captain, Kane Williamson addressed the media and spoke about the performances of his players. The bowler this time was Dwayne Bravo. They had missed out on the previous two seasons as they were banned following the spot fixing and betting scandal.

A late flurry from West Indian Brathwaite, who slammed Thakur for four huge sixes and a four in death overs, boosted the total significantly. But Brathwaite's effort was neutralised by du Plessis's classic knock.
