The all-rounder took four wickets as England defeated Pakistan by an innings and 55 runs inside three days at Headingley to secure a 1-1 draw from the two-Test series.

On Monday, Woakes was ruled out of Sunday's Scotland game, live on Sky Sports Cricket, and replaced in the squad by Tom Curran of Surrey.

And, like Ben Stokes (hamstring), Woakes will be absent for the early part of the Australia series, which gets under way on June 13.

Both players had been at the IPL before England's Test series against Pakistan, although Woakes did not play as much for Royal Challengers Bangalore as Stokes did for Rajasthan Royals.

Kim Kardashian declared a 'war angel' by Alice Johnson
On Thursday, Johnson responded alongside her daughter, Catina Scales, in a live Today show interview from Memphis. He later retweeted Kardashian when she expressed her hope that the president would grant Johnson clemency.

Both players have commenced their injury rehabilitation programmes and will be hoping to respond to treatment with the aim of featuring in the later stages of the series.

Meanwhile, Ball last played for England when they thrashed their arch-rivals Australia by 4-1 in latter's home den.

With Stokes out of the Scotland ODI, batsman Dawid Malan has been named as his replacement, while Sam Billings will take his place in the squad for the Australia ODI series.

Jonny Bairstow and Jos Buttler have been rested ahead of the ODIs, while England are yet to make a decision on the county availability of James Anderson and Stuart Broad ahead of the start of the Test series against India in August.
