"Kidding" consists of ten episodes and premieres on US TV on Showtime on September 9th.

Carrey's character Jeff, aka Mr. Pickles, imparts happy words bolstered by puppet friends to his child audience, but falls apart behind the scenes, trading his on-camera smile for a melancholy straight face. Eerily similar to his own life, it looks like Carrey's Mr. Pickles is trying to cope with being a "brand" while trying to live a normal existence.

Carrey looks awesome and the show will give him the material to deliver a complex and heartbreaking performance. The kids are rapt. "It's the part of you that no one can see, but you know it's there and I do, too. That's the part of you that no one can take away because that's the part that's really you". "What I like about you is the other stuff, the inside stuff". Carrey has been involved in several projects in the last few years, most notably Dumb and Dumber To and Dark Crimes, two movies within completely opposite genres.

But is unclear how fast the alliance could move large troop numbers to its eastern flank and how long it could sustain them. Russian ambassador to the EU Vladimir Chizhov said all these preparations only contribute to tensions.

Carrey's joined by Frost/Nixon's Frank Langella as Jeff's executive producer, Seb, who can see the host starting tear town the empire they've built; Get Out's Catherine Keener as Deirdre, the head puppet maker (yikes, tbh); and Arrested Development's Judy Greer as Jeff's estranged wife.
