E3 2018: New Kingdom Hearts III Trailer Introduces Pirates of the Caribbean

After seeing so much from the publisher yesterday many weren't sure and while there was some repeated content for Square Enix also managed to announce two upcoming titles and show off a bit more of games that fans are looking forward to.

The hyped presentation did have plenty to share on a new Tomb Raider title, to which they devoted about seven minutes of their half-hour presser.

What do you make of this new trailer? The jungle setting will give her even more opportunities to use the environment against her enemies. Grappling, wall-running, and full underwater swimming will also be included as well as the largest hub world.

Square Enix and Capcom, meanwhile, will have a Final Fantasy XIV - Monster Hunter World crossover event slated for Summer 2018. The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, a new game in the Life is unusual universe, and the Xbox version of Nier: Automata were also announced yesterday, stripping today's presentations of any real excitement.

It was nice to see Dragon Quest XI in the spotlight, a series that often doesn't enjoy its share of mainstream. Details are scarce, but it is due out in 2019 for the PlayStation 4 and PC.

It was supposed to be the grand re-emergence of one of gaming's giants into the limelight of E3, the time when everyone would cheer and woop with new details on the Final Fantasy 7 remake, a closer look at Life Is Strange 2, and, for the most optimistic of us all, any kind of announcement surrounding Soul Reaver.

The world was given a longer look at Octopath Traveler, the attractive, pixelated RPG coming to the Nintendo Switch onJuly 13. Showing off all of the different character types we see the world traversal as well as some battles.
