Rose McGowan Indicted On Felony Count Of Cocaine Possession

Rose McGowan has officially been indicted by a grand jury in her cocaine possession case.

Weinstein pleaded not guilty to the sexual assault charges.

The former Charmed star was slapped with felony possession of a controlled substance previous year after authorities reportedly found two packets of cocaine in a wallet she left behind on a flight to Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia in January 2017.

"Are they trying to silence me?"

"There is a warrant out for my arrest in Virginia", she wrote.

McGowan's trial date has ben set for Tuesday, June 12, one day after her indictment, but her attorney has waived her appearance.

McGowan has maintained the cocaine isn't hers, suggesting in court papers that the drugs were planted at the behest of Hollywood movie producer Harvey Weinstein.

Rose has become a figurehead in the MeToo and Time's Up movements, both of which were arguable triggered by numerous allegations made against Weinstein.

Charging documents say cocaine was found in a wallet McGowan left behind on a plane a year ago.

"Imagining I'm going into sisterly solidarity, I can think of nothing more opposed to that, energetically, that I would want in my body at that moment", she said referring to the cocaine.

McGowan pleaded not guilty to the charge, as she claims she had been without the wallet for five hours before getting it back, meaning anyone could have planted the drugs in the wallet.

Weinstein couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
