‘Toilet Hero’ gets over Rs 15 crore opening in China

The film had opened well in the morning shows and the early estimates suggested it will end up earning somewhere between $2.25 million and $2.50 million. The film, which also starred Bhumi Pednekar, made Rs 15.

Toilet Hero raked in Dollars 2.35 million on its 1st day at the Chinese Box Office. Indian movies in China are flourishing and well received by the Chinese audiences.

Akhsay Kumar-starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha had a good start at the box office in China with an opening day collection of Rs 15.94 crore.

Trade analyst tweeted, Market for well-made content-driven Indian films continues to bloom in China.

The film has debuted at no. 2 position at China box office behind Canadian film Black Water. Amir Khan's Secret Superstar earned Rs Rs 40 crore on its first day in China.

Akshay was overwhelmed with the response and tweeted, Thank you audiences in China for your appreciation for "Toilet Hero" delighted to receive so much love.

TEPK, a satirical comedy in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's campaign to improve sanitation conditions in India, had hit the domestic box office in August 2017.It became one of the top grossers of 2017 by doing a business of Rs. 134.22 crore in India alone.
