During an interview with Howard Stern's Sirius XM show (via TVLine), Alec Baldwin spoke about the possibility of running for President against Donald Trump in 2020.

Donald Trump "broke the mold, he broke the box, and you don't necessarily have to be an experienced politician now to think that you are able to win the presidency", Navarro said.

"He told Stern on Monday that he would only run to bring "common sense" to American politics". "I would absolutely win".

Stern brought up the president calling out Baldwin on Twitter and getting his name wrong, to which the actor responded, "His wife knows my name". "Oprah. Alec Baldwin. And so, it's opened up the possibilities for people who may not be traditional politicians but who are interested".

Baldwin added that his campaign would be "the funniest, most exciting, most insane campaign".

Trump says Canadian leader Justin Trudeau 'learned' from trade comments
Trump said Trudeau's promise not to back down from U.S. tariffs is "going to cost a lot of money for the people of Canada". In the prime minister's absence the House unanimously adopted a motion to stand against US tariffs and tirades.

"I'm only saying that because people don't really have a sense of who's going to come up", he said. "Somebody great is going to come up, I hope". "There are so many things that this country needs to do that are so obvious", he said.

A year ago while appearing on "The Brian Lehrer Show", Alec said, "Someone told me - who's friends with someone in the White House, or formerly in the White House - that Melania Trump loves "SNL" and she loves my impersonation".

"I want the Democrats to have a smart opposition to keep them on their toes", he said.
