Cavs Will Explore This Kevin Love Trade To Keep LeBron James

If the Cavaliers couldn't keep up with the Warriors, then this is the final game.

The Golden State Warriors captured their third championship in four years on Friday, easily disposing of the Cleveland Cavaliers with a four-game sweep in the 2018 NBA Finals. And with the Warriors up by two with 50 seconds left in the game, Durant hit a three-pointer dagger that sealed the win for his squad.

Here's what he brings to the Warriors: 26.4 points per game in this regular season, 29 points per game in the playoffs, a 43-point explosion in Game 3 that will go into NBA Finals lore and a triple-double in the series clincher to cap it all off. And now that the series is over, the OH native may have played his last game in Cleveland.

Bovada's sportsbook has released new odds on James' impending decision.

"But what (coach Tyronn Lue) did with his group and obviously what LeBron (James) does night after night is just incredible".

Another suspenseful summer of "Where will LeBron go next?" is off and running. George was dealt to the Oklahoma City Thunder from the Pacers prior to last season and can opt out of his deal there as well to become a free agent. But if LeBron and his team can win a game and gain some momentum, they could make this series interesting for a return to Oakland this weekend. James scored a post-season career-high 51 points in Game 1 of the series.

He's still into hanging banners.

Just like past year, Game 3 of the NBA Finals returned to Cleveland under similar circumstances.

"I know that I'm a tough guy".

Among the top destinations mentioned in the LeBron sweepstakes: the Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets.

So, who has a legitimate shot at getting him?

The next minute, as reporters prepared to pepper James about his forthcoming free agency, a massive and mysterious subplot emerged.

The Golden State Warriors are champs again.

Of course, Cleveland wouldn't necessarily be the favorite to re-sign James.

The Cavaliers, though, have a lot of work to do to convince him he should hang around. While James re-signing with Cleveland certainly is a possibility, there's no doubt a bevy of other teams will be vying for the star forward's services as well.

Right now, the Warriors, having won three of the last four championships and back-to-back titles after adding Hall of Fame scorer Kevin Durant in a shock move in the summer of 2016, seem to have an unfair advantage. They are expected to package Love and their first-round pick (No. 8) in the 2018 National Basketball Association draft. And would James be patient with a younger team? The two have co-existed purely on business terms since patching things up after Gilbert eviscerated James when he bolted for Miami.

Curry, on the other hand, averaged 27.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.8 assists 1.5 steals and 0.8 blocks, shooting 40.2 percent from the field, 41.5 percent from long range and 100.0 percent from the charity stripe.

"Legally, he may be working for our organisation, but that's not really the case, " Gilbert said.
