God of War PS4 now has four difficultly settings, ranging from "Give Me A Story", the easiest game mode up to "Give Me God of War" the hardest setting.

Sony has announced that God of War will indeed be getting a New Game Plus mode.

There was no elaboration on when the mode might land or what you carry over into your next playthrough, but we're looking forward to being given another reason to romp back through Midgard once more.

There's no word on when this will be available, but it will be patched into the game at some point.

As the PlayStation.Blog reports, work is now underway to implement a New Game+ mode for God of War which will eventually be delivered in patch form and downloaded to your PS4. However, Sony did say that New Game+ will provide a higher difficulty to not make it a complete cakewalk. Sadly, PlayStation boss Shawn Layden didn't go into detail about the new mode, so right now we don't even know a release date.
