"Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman's next big screen adventure finds her facing an all-new foe: The Cheetah", reads Warner Bros.'s press release.

Filming on the sequel is officially underway, two first-look photos have been released and an official title has been announced.

The image shows Wonder Woman staring at a wall of TV screens, which display images of oil tycoon J.R. Ewing from Dallas, commercials for drinks, a woman driving a sports vehicle with the top down, TV color bars and much more imagery from the period of time.

Trevor, of course, sacrificed himself during World War I in 2017's Wonder Woman.

Trump renews attack on OPEC ahead of group's production meeting
OPEC and various non-OPEC oil producers are set to convene in Vienna later in the month to discuss future production. Dutch bank ING, however, said some OPEC members would "struggle to push production back to October 2016 levels".

Warner Bros. also announced that the sequel has an official title: Wonder Woman 1984. Gal Gadot obviously reprises her titular role, and Pedro Pascal also co-stars in the film.

Additionally, Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder are still involved as producers on the film alongside Jenkins, Gadot, Charles Roven, and Stephen Jones.

Jenkins has pretty much reunited most of her behind-the-scenes team from Wonder Woman, including director of photography Matthew Jensen, production designer Aline Bonetto, and costume designer Lindy Hemming. Oscar-nominated editor Richard Pearson (United 93) will cut the film.

Set to open in theaters November 1, 2019, Wonder Woman 1984 is based on the character created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment.
