During a Q&A session at the Clusterfest comedy festival in San Francisco, the former Daily Show host, Jon Stewart, stood up for his colleague Samantha Bee, who slammed Ivanka Trump during her show as a "feckless c*nt" last week. She said of Roseanne Barr's racist comments - which have often been compared to Bee's - that President Donald Trump does not need to denounce them because he has "categorically denounced racism".

Organizers of the largest gathering of conservatives outside the D.C. beltway said Saturday that the hostess of "Full Frontal with Samantha Bee" on TBS has rejected the press pass the show requested for the speeches and festivities Friday and Saturday at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.

Stewart worked with Bee on "The Daily Show" from 2003 to 2015.

Last week, Bee experienced major backlash after commenting on Ivanka's post of her with her son, which was seen as a bit tone-deaf due to the fact it was shared following the news that there were over 1,500 immigrant children that were being held by the government missing. "It's a game, it's a strategy and it's working", he said. President Trump also tweeted that "no talent" Bee should be fired. In 2016, TBS premiered Bee's very own late-night talk show, making her one of the few females to occupy that timeslot. "That is probably - he says that instead of 'please, ' I'm guessing", he added of Trump.

Stewart addressed Bee's controversy and apology first by addressing "liberals" at large.
