We've got a new trailer for Luke Cage Season Two, and Mariah Dillard is here to rule. he latest trailer for season two of Marvel's Luke Cage throws Mariah Dillard, aka Black Mariah, into the spotlight.

Both Mariah and Bushmaster (and Luke Cage, too, since he's always stopping a villain or saving someone from their clutches) will go toe to toe with another miscreant: the crime lord Rosalie, portrayed by Annabella Sciorra, who pops up near the end of the new trailer. It needs a queen.

Alfre Woodard, Annabella Sciorra vie for control of Harlem in ‘Luke Cage’ season 2 trailer

Yes, there's a palpable power vacuum simmering beneath the streets of Harlem, and it's up to Marvel's Luke Cage to protect his treasured neighborhood from threats old and new. The season promises some series Voodoo, family hierarchies, death by fire, and plenty of action. The series stars Mike Colter, Simone Missick, Rosario Dawson, Alfre Woodard, Theo Rossi, Finn Jones, Mustafa Shakir and Gabrielle Dennis.

I was pretty mixed on Luke Cage after watching the entirety of the first season - though that first half that featured Mahershala Ali was fan-flipping-tastic. Of course these individuals shows have their own showrunners and writers who work for months to craft their stories, so one imagines they're not super eager to simply piggyback off of what another show is doing.
