Control is a third-person action-adventure game combining Remedy's trademark gunplay with supernatural abilities.

Remedy Entertainment's next project is officially called "Control", Sony revealed Monday night during its E3 2018 press conference.

Remedy has worked exclusively with Microsoft for a number of years now, so it could be considered surprising to see the company's new game unveiled on Sony's stage.

"Control's" plot focuses on a young woman named Jesse Faden and her search for answers after she takes on the role of the Director, according to the game's official website. The gamehopes to challenge players to master a "combination of supernatural abilities, modifiable loadouts and reactive environments while fighting through the deep and mysterious worlds Remedy is known and loved for". The story of the game is set in a "unique and ever-changing world that juxtaposes our familiar reality with the odd and unexplainable".
