In another tweet. Boyega wrote, "To the majority of Star Wars fans, thank you for supporting and putting yourselves in our shoes".

Now, the first specific details of what Lucas would have done with the sequels has been found. Twitter user Livio Ramondelli spotted quotes from Lucas about the films in the companion book for the TV show James Cameron's Story Of Science Fiction. Daisy Ridley, who played Jedi-in-training Rey, has been MIA since 2016 after fans took her comment about gun control the wrong way.

The London-born actor, who appeared in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, told followers: "You're not entitled to politeness when your approach is rude".

Earlier this year Luke Skywalker star Mark Hamill revealed Lucas' original plan for the sequel trilogy ending. Initially, Star Wars was meant to be a story that was told as if it was contained in a collection of stories called The Journal of the Whills.

Companies likely to take advantage - slowly - of net neutralitys end
Others point out that the FTC, which oversees consumer protection for every corner of the USA economy, already has its hands full. Those Obama-era rules prevented ISPs from blocking or slowing legal traffic, or from being paid for prioritized, faster delivery.

Lucas is confidant that had he kept his company, the Whills-focused films "would have been done. The Whills, in a general sense, they are the Force". There won't be a Star Wars Celebration this year, with the convention returning in April 2019, taking place in Chicago, which could likely be when the first trailer for Star Wars 9 will be released. Rogue One featured references to the Whills, as Chirrut Îmwe was described as being a former Guardian of the Whills who protected the Temple of the Kyber. This nearly feels like a direction similar to what Ridley Scott did with Prometheus and Alien: Covenant (for better or worse). According to Lucas, it would have tied in more directly to 1999s The Phantom Menace than the original trilogy, much to the chagrin of fans.

We don't want to spoil things too much, but basically, Rose Tico is now the central protagonist, white men have been totally cut (in more ways than one), and there's a pretty massive spoiler headed your way about Chewie, but hey - we kind of always knew that was a possibility, right? "People weren't nice about how I looked".

"If I'd held onto the company I could've done it [seen the story through to its end], and then it would have been done".

Exactly one week ago today, Star Wars: The Last Jedi star Kelly Marie Tran deleted her Instagram account after being subjected to numerous instances of harassment by various "fans".
