"It is a great victory achieved by both the United States and the two Koreas, and a huge step forward for people across the world who long for peace", Moon said.

Dennis broke down in tears during an interview with CNN on Monday, saying President Trump was "proud of him" for his role in helping to facilitate the historic meeting with the North Korean ruler in Singapore.

According to Rodman, Kim said he'd be "willing to talk" to Obama under certain conditions. I never had anyone to hear, see me.

"And I tried to do that with Obama".

"President Trump believes that Kim Jong-un has an unprecedented opportunity to change the trajectory of our relationship and bring peace and prosperity to his country", he told reporters. Drills called Team Spirit, one of the largest annual military maneuvers in the world at the time, were held from 1976 until 1993, when, after North Korea agreed to dismantle its existing nuclear facilities, the exercises were canceled and have not been held since.

Still, he credited the summit for starting a diplomatic process between North Korea and the United States.

"We don't need a miracle, but we need the doors to be open so we can start fresh", he said. "Dennis Rodman was either drunk or on drugs (delusional) when he said I wanted to go to North Korea with him".

Rodman talked about "falling in love" with the people and culture of North Korea, and described Kim as "a good friend".

'I had to hide out, I couldn't even go home, ' he said. He said Trump called him to say that he was proud of him.

Chairman Kim and President Trump put pen to paper following an historic meeting in Singapore.

Such complimentary snacks were not for sale commercially, the company said, but rather a show of support for the press and related officials' hard work on the Trump-Kim summit. Xi promptly summoned Kim back to China for an unusual second meeting between the two in early May-they had met in March in Beijing-and USA policymakers assume he put the troops back on the agenda.

Rodman first visited the North Korean capital, Pyongyang, in March 2013.

'When I met Kim Jong-un, I didn't know what to expect. but once I got to know the culture over there, I felt at home'.

If we ever needed visual confirmation of just how weird world diplomacy is in 2018, we now have it: in the spritely form of Dennis Rodman arriving in Singapore for the Trump-Kim summit in a marijuana cryptocurrency T-shirt. "Today may be a little insane but we'll try and do something when we get back to the states".

"He wasn't, but I like Dennis".

"So I think the rhetoric - I hated to do it", Trump continued. "So that tells you. You know, there's a rebounding-there's a genius for that".

But how did Rodman, a five-time National Basketball Association champion once nicknamed "The Worm", become America's unlikely and unofficial ambassador to the world's most repressive regime?
