George Lucas reveals details about what his sequel trilogy would’ve been about

Lucas no longer has any direct creative input into the Star Wars films, although he has been around them.

In the AMC TV special “James Camerons Story of Science Fiction”, the longtime director speaks with many experts in the field of science fiction from directors to writers to actual scientists. Some people make a case for Yoda being a Whill, though the Star Wars Wikia reports Lucas has denied it. In a 2015 Vanity Fair cover story that previewed The Force Awakens, director J.J. Abrams said that Lucas' Star Wars sequel trilogy would have focused on "very young characters" (with Lucasfilm saying that the characters would've been teenagers), but Disney and Lucasfilm distanced from that vision and ended up with older protagonists.

"If I'd held onto the company I could've done it [seen the story through to its end], and then it would have been done".

However, I do feel like we did miss out on a large part of the universe that is still sitting in Lucas' head and getting to explore larger parts of Star Wars lore might have been a better use of the episodic films with other standalone films filling in the narrative gaps the way Rogue One and Solo have.

He continued: "But there's this world of creatures that operate differently than we do". And the Whills are the ones who actually control the universe.

"Of course, a lot of the fans would have hated it, just like they did Phantom Menace and everything, but at least the whole story from beginning to end would be told".

Browbeaten? On Twitter, Justin Trudeau's 'Fake Eyebrows' Trumps US Tirade
Mr Trudeau and the European Union have vowed to take retaliatory action next month over U.S. tariffs on steel and aluminium. Trump's latest twitter tirade came after he arrived in Singapore for his summit with North Korea's Kim Jong-un.

Hamill tweeted Boyega: 'Be careful there son- the last time I let a fan put themself in my shoes, they just took off running & sold them on Ebay'. They feed off the Force.

Would you have liked to have seen Lucas' sequel trilogy?

The actor also thanked "majority of "Star Wars" fans" for supporting, rather than bullying, the cast.

For those who don't know, the idea of the Whills is something George Lucas had always meant to be a larger part of Star Wars. The midi-chlorians are the ones that communicate with the Whills. Given how people have reacted to changes regarding the Force in the new movies, as well as the midi-chlorians in the prequels, Lucas' assumptions were probably correct.

Taking advantage of the uptake in traffic on his page, Boyega took the opportunity to let his fans know he's now filming another instalment, which is sure to excite the lot of you.
