Which might be one of the reasons why James Wan is reportedly looking to reboot the popular 1990 James Marshall horror/comedy film Arachnophobia, according to a new Deadline report.

The film, which was unveiled on Monday, is at the early stages with no director, actors, or writers attached. Marshall is also returning to the project as an Executive Producer. Starring Jeff Daniels and John Goodman, the spider breeds and becomes a massive killer as a few courageous souls try to track down the queen before the hybrid breed can take hold.

The original movie, released by Disney's Hollywood Pictures label, and produced by Amblin and Tamgled Wed Prods, focused on a newly discovered Venezuelan spider being transported to a small American town and producing a new species of deadly spiders, which begin killing the town's residents. The original Arachnophobia features quite a lot of actual spiders in it, as well as some rather silly puppets, but even that seems like it would be superior to doing the entire film with CGI.

This is just spitballing on my part here, but maybe Wan's buddy (and fellow DCU director) David F. Sandberg could join in to direct this?
