It has been a long four-year wait to obsess for a month again over FIFA World Cup soccer with vuvuzela's blaring.

In his interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier that aired Wednesday night, President Trump acknowledged that any deal with Kim Jong Un would have to include verification that North Korea was actually destroying its nuclear weapons and infrastructure, but he pointed to one concrete commitment Kim had made: returning the remains of Americans killed or captured during the Korean War.

Six Saudi female teenagers slated to serve as their country's flag bearers at the World Cup's opening match in Moscow on Thursday will be replaced by Russians after their trip was canceled due to "logistical circumstances", organizers said. The final game will kickoff on Sunday, July 15, and determine the victor.

The United bid also offered Federation Internationale de Football Association the prospect of higher profits: $11 billion compared to Morocco's $5 billion. The North American proposal is referred to as United 2026, as it bested a rival Moroccan bid, 134 votes to 65. The United States is likely to have 10 cities selected to host games, while Mexico and Canada are expected to each have three.

Morocco FA president Fouzi Lekjaa said: "I would like to reaffirm the determination of my country, Morocco, to continue to work for football, to work for the youth and also to realise some day our dream to host the World Cup in Morocco".

To do so would have invited ridicule when it needed to build or renovate the 14 stadiums it wants to use - a task FIFA's technical report said "cannot be overstated".
