Black Ops 4 Pass And DLC U-Turn - Can Be Bought Separately

Activision has made the rather weird and controversial decision to bundle Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 DLC expansion in its Black Ops Pass, meaning you apparently won't be able to purchase each add-on separately.

As Activision have done with their previous games, multiplayer maps are, to put it bluntly, being locked behind a paywall and thus splitting the competitive-focused community between those who have paid for the Black Ops 4 DLC pass and for those who haven't.

If you cast your mind back to yesterday, you may remember our article about the Black Ops 4 pass not being available as a standalone when the standard edition of the game debuts. "We are absolutely committed to supporting the entire community with a slew of free, post-release content that will extend the Black Ops 4 experience with more new ways to play than we've ever done before". However, it will also include the release of multiplayer maps if you've bought the pass. Typically, a Call of Duty Season Pass costs $49.99/£39.99, so we'd expect the Black Ops Pass to cost the same. Black Ops 4 launches on October 12 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Astros owner takes control of Houston Open
The terms of the deal state the Astros Foundation will operate the tournament and serve as the host organization. Still to be determined is the schedule between the PGA Championship in May through the British Open in July.

This clearly doesn't seem like an error, and it now appears that Activision has done a U-turn.

Now the Season Pass - which includes twelve multiplayer maps, Zombies scenarios and exclusive characters for new Battle Royale mode, Blackout - is only available as part of Black Ops 4's various Deluxe Editions, being made purchasable as a standalone item "at a later date".
