Now, imagine two such screens on the same phone. Mass production could start in Q4 this year.

Samsung has previously confirmed that it is working on a smartphone that can fold, but has offered no indication of a potential release date or any of the specs. Samsung also is the first to bring curved displays.

While the claims made by the analysts are believable, we've heard so many rumors about the Galaxy X over the years it's always worth taking things with a pinch of salt as firm details are still hard to come by.

Samsung is still believed to be the first to release such foldable phones. Samsung may be trying to beat the likes of Huawei to the punch, seeing as the Chinese company has been said to be planning a similar announcement for November. Lenovo-Motorola is also working on a foldable smartphone. We also remember the latest patent images of LG's first foldable phone. Bear in mind that the Galaxy Note 9 is expected to be announced during the month of August, and because the month of August falls in the latter half of 2018, it can be speculated that the phablet will be the first to gain access to the newest set of components, but that is not going to be the case, unfortunately.

Citing the "parts industry" as its source, the website claims that Samsung's "Beyond" codename is fitting for the firm's 10th-anniversary flagship, with the firm aiming to "go beyond" what it has already achieved in the smartphone market.

When it comes to pricing, the Samsung foldable phone will be more expensive. Last year, news surfaced that the device that's likely to be called Galaxy X and it would feature a 7.3-inch OLED display. And the third one is a 4.3-inch outside panel which could be used as a regular screen when the device is folded. Shinhan Financial analyst Park Hyung-woo has separately highlighted that the new device will feature two inside display panels, while one display panel will be available outside.
