Moto E5, Moto E5 Plus launched in India: Price, specifications

Motorola, a Lenovo-owned smartphone manufacturer, will launch the Moto E5 Plus in India today i.e. July 10. With the E5 Plus, the company is offering a budget-centric smartphone for media consumption. The smartphones both get Moto Display and Moto Actions features, previously seen in more premium Moto models. Coming to the pricing, the Moto E5 Plus costs Rs 11,999 in India. The Moto E5, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 9,999 and will be available via Moto Hub stores. Moto E5 is also up for grabs with Jio's additional data offer.

Last month, the company launched the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play in India that were the first Motorola phones with modern screens. Buyers using Paytm Mall app to purchase the smartphones at Moto Hub stores will get Rs. 1,200 cashback on mobile bill payments, recharges, or utility payments. Under the hood is the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU.

The device features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron pixel size and PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus), while for the front, there is a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The rear camera can also be used to scan QR codes, barcodes and business cards.

Up front, there's a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens and selfie flash. The front and rear cameras on Moto E5 Plus will have professional modes.

So YouTube aims to short-circuit the misinformation loop with text stories that can quickly provide more accurate information. Those officials, however, offered only vague descriptions of which sources YouTube will consider authoritative.

The Moto E5 Plus runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box, and sports a 6-inch HD+ (720x1440 pixels) Max Vision IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. With the 5,000mAh battery, the device measures 161.9 x 75.3 x 9.35 mm and weighs 200 grams.

Moto E5 is priced at Rs 9,999, while Moto E5 Plus will retail at 11,999. MotoE5 Plus will be available exclusively via Amazon starting tonight at 12:00 midnight. Motorola will be selling the Moto E5 Plus online exclusively on Amazon India, and offline via Motorola's official Moto Hub retail stores across the country. The former smartphone consists of some big highlights, including a 6-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, a mammoth 5000mAh battery, and the latest stock Android version. Both the devices sport a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

In terms of design, Moto E5 Plus features 3D polymer glass with a reflective wave pattern and an arched back. The camera setup is similar to the Moto X series.
