Well, Moment tells us that it's now working on integrating the chip and will add HDR+ in the future.

While all of that sounds great, Moment's Android app is lagging a bit behind. Moment has several lens options, including the wide angle one I purchased earlier this year, and also has a mobile app for iOS and Android that offer more control than most default apps.

Make sure you check out Moment's video embedded below as it takes a more in-depth look at the Pro Camera app.

Ever wondered why a lot of iOS apps or Apple services first get released in the United States of America, and then rolled out globally or stay exclusive? If the app - which is free to download and $3 to upgrade - gains traction, Barros can envision a family of photography inspired products. Now the company has expanded ShopMoment to be more of a marketplace, even offering third-party products. China isn't far behind, though, and will probably soon surpass the U.S. as the largest app market for Apple.

If you're using a Dual Camera iPhone with add-on lenses, the app lets you manually select which of the two cameras you'd like to shoot through. We are trying to build product categories into our DNA while serving the same customer.

Since this is an app from camera guys, the focus is on quick manual controls over settings like exposure, ISO, shutter speed, focus, and white balance. The app even uses Apple's 3D Touch technology to make the in app shutter button a dual stage shutter. Half-pressing the shutter locks focus and exposure and a full press triggers an exposure (or begins video recording).

Other features of the app include precise video control (change resolution and frame rate on screen), Live Histogram, DSLR-style metadata, and auto video stabilization.

The Moment Pro Camera app offers nearly everything a professional photographer would want out of a smartphone camera app. It allows you to use a DSLR-like shutter button on your phone, and add extra battery with the Battery Photo Case.
