And he's gifted his freaky sculpture to the Irishman for his 30th birthday. Socks? Bandages? A new shelf for his trophy cabinet?

"If not Conor, if not GSP, I think Alvarez vs. Poirier, I think the victor deserves a title shot", Nurmagomedov told Anatomy of a Fighter recently (transcript courtesy of MMA Fighting).

Edgar, known as Aspencrow, told the BBC he had been inspired by McGregor's "strong character".

His first professional boxing bout on 26 August a year ago saw him stopped in the 10th round by Floyd Mayweather.

"About Tony Ferguson, I don't know", Nurmagomedov said.

He's due to appear in court in NY later this month to face charges of assault and criminal mischief.

‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ releases first poster
The first poster for the upcoming Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been released online, and it's pretty darn great.

The artist admits that he hasn't actually spoken to McGregor directly, but has been communicating with him through a friend.

Aspencrow's work appears to show McGregor encased or entombed in solid rock, suggesting perhaps he is a captive of his fame - and notoriety.

The other two identical sculptures of McGregor will be sold by JD Malat Gallery, where it will be on view to the public as part of their summer exhibition from July 14 until September 30.

The priority for the undefeated UFC lightweight champion, however, is his arch rival McGregor, who held the title before him but was stripped due to inactivity.

The sculpture, which is appropriately named Atlas, will be unveiled at an art gallery in London on the 14th of July, McGregor's 30th birthday. "You can see him as a prisoner, or a God, or just as a person".

Nurmagomedov is eyeing big fights with Conor McGregor and Georges St-Pierre. "I feel he's my soulmate". Without bus, without other things, we just have to fight but I don't think the UFC can make the decision about this fight.
