Steph Curry did an interesting interview with USA Today this week, and he was asked to weigh in on LeBron's decision to come to Los Angeles. "LeBron wanted to come to L.A. and he wanted to come to the Lakers".

It's an eye-opening quote, whether it was meant to be or not. In June 29, he informed them he would not pick up his option for the 2018-19 season after the team had gone through the NBA Draft and selected Collin Sexton with the eighth overall pick.

"This annoyed LeBron and LeBron's people to no end", Vardon said.

In all, the moves didn't seem to make much sense if the core of Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart will be moving forward with the team.

Pelinka said the Lakers focused their free agency recruitment efforts on versatile, playoff-tested talents who can score and defend, instead of looking for elite players with only one specialty. "We wanted that mentality and we identified it. Lance Stephenson, he will agitate you, he will get under you, he will cause you to get out of your game and can play in the open court and score", Pelinka explained.

The Lakers icon who is now an executive board member with the Los Angeles Clippers spoke with Sports Illustrated about James' arrival in L.A. and appears less than impressed with his former team's offseason work.

They only got one, although the Lakers still appear to be in contention for disgruntled San Antonio star Kawhi Leonard, who has a year left on his contract with the Spurs.
