Virendra Sharma, a supporter of the Best for Britain campaign for another referendum, said that a "gang of Brexit bullies are threatening to pull the plug on the Prime Minister".

Brexit secretary David Davis resigned late on Sunday night and Boris Johnson followed suit on Monday, resigning as foreign secretary less than 24 hours later.

But former Conservative leader William Hague warned party rebels that voting against the Prime Minister's final deal could result in Brexit being indefinitely delayed or halted altogether.

Mr Rees-Mogg, who chairs the European Research Group of Tory Eurosceptics, said Mrs May would have to U-turn on her plans or rely on Labour votes to force them through Parliament.

In a tweet clearly created to show she was not being knocked off course, Mrs May said: "Productive Cabinet meeting this morning - looking ahead to a busy week". Asked whether he wanted Mrs May to stay in Downing Street, the president said: "I get along with her very well. that's certainly up to the people, not up to me".

"It takes 48 Conservative members out of a total of 60 to trigger a leadership challenge; however, we are unlikely to see the challenge happen because there is not yet the belief that they have the numbers to effectively oust Theresa May", Hoez added.

She told BBC Two's Newsnight: "I think if the Prime Minister makes further concessions with the European Union then there will no doubt be more resignations from Brexiteers in the Cabinet, from junior ministers to PPSs, because there is only so much that you can give in a negotiation". "I like Boris Johnson, I've always liked him".

Under Conservative Party rules, a confidence vote in a leader can be triggered if 15 per cent of Conservative lawmakers - now 48 - write a letter requesting one. Boris Johnson has been a friend of the president, was a friend during the election and he has a warm and close relationship with the president.

Divers Hope To Rescue Remaining Boys Trapped In Thai Cave
The three Royal Thai Navy SEAL divers and medics who stayed in the cave with the boys and coach since they were located on July 2. Social media has been abuzz for days with chatter about the inevitable " Thailand Cave Rescue: The Movie".

"Dreaming is good, probably for all of us, but we have to deal with the real world", he said.

Other pro-Brexit Cabinet ministers said they supported May and would not resign.

"What we have now is what the majority of people are looking for which is a sensible soft Brexit whereby the trading relationship between Britain and the European Union is one that is as positive and seamless as we can make it".

The two resignations have left May badly exposed and raised questions over whether she will stand firm in her commitment to pursuing a "business-friendly" Brexit, or will be faced with more resignations and calls to quit herself.

It would compel the United Kingdom government to agree in law to a commitment in applying the same customs terms to Northern Ireland as to the rest of the United Kingdom post-Brexit.

The pair said they have stood down as they oppose Theresa May's Chequers policy on Brexit.

In his resignation letter, Johnson wrote: "Brexit should be about opportunity and hope". The British government is due to publish a detailed version of the plans on Thursday.
