Mario Mandzukic's extra-time goal saw off England in heart-breaking fashion.

Emotions were running high across the nation as Gareth Southgate's squad were edged out by Croatia.

Ultimately accusing them of not showing enough quality, Keane believed the inexperience of their players, and a lack of trophies won by the players in their club careers, told throughout: 'It was a step too far for them'.

Keane, a former Ireland global, tore into the hysteria and took aim at Ian Wright in the ITV studio.

The former Manchester United and Ireland captain joined host Pougatch and a panel completed by former England internationals Gary Neville, Lee Dixon and Ian Wright.

"I made the point a few weeks ago, I know a bit tongue-in-cheek but you have to focus on one game and football's coming home".

'We wasn't talking about the final, we were just having a laugh with ya. "I don't mind you getting excited, but it was a semi-final!" Stones is ball-watching, and then when the ball goes in he's looking at people saying nobody gave me a shout - you're not going to get a shout in a World Cup semi-final! "You need a reality check", he said.

But it comes to a very awkward end as Wright mocks the Irishman's pronunciation of "final".

Colts could be bidders in supplemental draft
The Redskins and Giants will both forfeit future draft picks for those bids and the other three players now become free agents. They have corners Xavien Howard , Tony Lippett , Cordrea Tankersley and Bobby McCain and safeties Reshad Jones , T.J.

The quartet of former footballers were last together earlier in the tournament and viewers got a real kick out of Keane telling his colleagues to cool the jets after they beat Panama 6-1.

England were knocked out of the tournament by Croatia after their European rivals fought back from 1-0 down to win in extra-time.

The argument was the talk of social media with some Twitter users saying it was nearly as entertaining as the match itself.

"Really expected Keane to walk over and lamp him one", one fan wrote.

Another added: "Roy Keane dropping truth bombs and taking Ian Wright to school", while another said: '@GNev2 @IanWright0 legends!

While a third simply said: "Roy Keane vs Ian Wright".

England are out of the World Cup.
