And some didn't get the nominations they deserved, like NBC's "The Good Place" and HBO's "Insecure".

Donald Glover's "Atlanta" is the top comedy with 16 bids. The return of "Game of Thrones" during the eligibility window more than made up for the lack of "Big Little Lies" this year, with 22 nominations, including one in the drama series race. Adrift in third was NBC with 78 nods.

The revival of "Roseanne", cancelled because of star Roseanne Barr's racist tweet, drew only one major nomination, a supporting actress nod for Laurie Metcalf.

It will be co-hosted by "Saturday Night Live" comedians Colin Jost and Michael Che.

There were no drawn-out points in the early going, no lengthy baseline exchanges, essentially because Ostapenko wouldn't allow it. She missed the 2017 tournament as she was pregnant with her daughter Alexis Jr., who was born on September 1 of that year.

The previous high for "Game of Thrones" was 24 nominations in 2015.

Unfortunately some of the absolute best shows and performances eligible didn't get any recognition, like AMC's "The Terror" and "Halt and Catch Fire".

While many might remember Eggold from "The Blacklist", the actor is gearing up for the fall release of his new drama "New Amsterdam", in which he plays an incoming medical director who has bold new ideas on how to change the culture at the landmark hospital. The Creative Arts Awards this year are September 8-9, with the Primetime Emmy Awards set for Monday, September 17 at 8 AM ET/5 PM PT at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
