Trump arrives in Britain on Thursday after the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit in Belgium and will stay overnight at the central London residence of the US ambassador where a high metal security fence was erected outside.

Those in the 100 guests invited to the dinner are representatives from the UK's engineering, defence, food and drink sector, technology, pharmacy, financial services and creative industries.

The "Stop Trump" march will travel through central London on Friday afternoon, before ending with a rally in Trafalgar Square.

Americans in London have been warned to "keep a low profile" during the trip, while a crowd-funded "Trump Baby" blimp has been cleared for take-off on Friday morning outside Parliament House.

Mr Trump is the 12th sitting USA president to make such a trip and will spend time with the Queen and prime minister before flying to Scotland to spend the weekend at his golf resort. Trump will get the red carpet treatment on his brief visit to England that begins Thursday: Military bands at a gala dinner, lunch with the prime minister at her country place, then tea with the queen at Windsor Castle before flying off to one of his golf clubs in Scotland.
