According to reports, Legend is now in talks for winning the Emmy For Outstanding Actor In A Limited Series or Movie, as Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar Live In Concert.

In addition to bringing Legend one step closer to making history, his Emmy nomination also marks his first nod for acting.

John Legend could be the next EGOT victor after he was nominated for an Emmy on Thursday morning - you might even want to call him a Superstar. (Legend also has a Golden Globe for "Glory", but that doesn't mean anything in the EGOT world.) The "All of Me" singer already has ten Grammys, including Best New Artist from 2006, and he got his Tony past year for co-producing a revival of the August Wilson play Jitney.

Tony-winning set designer Derek McLane was also nominated for his design of the 90th annual Oscars, his fifth consecutive nomination for the awards show. "Such a wonderful show, such a wonderful team".

Trump says there ‘might be an escalation’ between US, Iran
The tweet was accompanied by a map accusing Iran of sponsoring at least 11 terrorist attacks in Europe since 1978. He has also accused Tehran of continuing to sell weapons in the Middle East despite United Nations resolutions.

ET recently spoke with Legend at the launch of his new Legend Vineyards Exclusive (LVE) rosé in Beverly Hills, California, last month and the entrepreneur admitted that it would be "pretty incredible" if he were to become an EGOT victor.

The 2018 Emmy Award nominees were announced this morning in a ceremony hosted by Ryan Eggold and Samira Wiley (who herself was nominated for her performance in The Handmaid's Tale).

Jesus Christ Superstar earned 13 Emmy nominations total, the most of any live TV musical.

As Entertainment Weekly notes, if the night goes well for him, he'll join the incredibly exclusive ranks of EGOT winners such as Richard Rodgers, Mel Brooks, Rita Moreno, Audrey Hepburn and Whoopi Goldberg. "But it's ok I AM SO PROUD!" As for if he's competing with his wife, Chrissy Teigen, who may win a Spike TV award, John said they've "got a big house", so they've got plenty of room for awards.
