Activision has announced not one, but two different betas for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

So what modes will be available to play? The developer revealed that it will host two separate tests for the shooter-one for multiplayer, the other for the battle royale-style Blackout mode-ahead of the game's launch, with the first scheduled to kick off next month.

Getting into the multiplayer beta on consoles require pre-ordering the shooter, and those on the PlayStation 4 get to jump in before everyone else.

For the private multiplayer beta, players will fight through six maps.

More than two-thirds of the weight is fuel, which will be used up by the time it lands on the moon's surface. December space launch is a joint venture between SpaceIL and state-owned Israel Aerospace Industries.

As a private beta, the only way to ensure access is to pre-order Black Ops 4 either digitally or through a participating retailer. New Specialists will be playable along with returning Specialists Nomad and Prophet.

The Private Multiplayer Beta will feature fan-favorite game modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and Search & Destroy, alongside our brand-new objective-based game mode, Control, which was created to bring out the best of Black Ops 4 Multiplayer gameplay.

Control is an objective-based mode that is new to the franchise, one where teams will rotate in attacking and defending two objectives. Each team has a limited number of lives in this first-to-three wins match-up.

Load out with Special Issue Equipment that's designed exclusively for each Specialist without costing a point against Pick 10. Only one piece of Gear can be used per loadout, so choose wisely. Unfortunately, Blackout doesn't have a definitive start date or time, but, as stated by Treyarch, "As we get closer to September, we'll share more information about what you can expect from the Private Blackout Beta, first on PS4 - for now, we wanted you to know that it was on the way". More details for this private beta will be given later this Summer.
