Pune (Maharashtra) [India]: Shridhar Chillal, the Pune-based man, who holds the Guinness World Record for having the longest fingernails, has cut them after 66 years.

They measured in at a total length of 29 feet, 10.1 inches when they were clipped.

Shridhar's nails will now be displayed at Ripley's Believe It or Not! in Times Square in NY.

"But when I realised that after cutting my nails, my nails will be at Ripley's Believe It or Not! and they're going to maintain it very nicely and for a lifetime, then I felt like I was doing the right decision and that's why I chose to cut my nails".

That success was helped by prolific striker Diego Costa, who scored 20 goals and provided eight assists. The off-field controversies bled onto the pitch and the west Londoners flattered to deceive.

"Chillal dedicated his life to something truly remarkable and Ripley's is the flawless home to honor his legacy", a rep says, per the Hindu.

The 82-year-old's passion for nails started when a teacher told him off for breaking a very long nail they had grown.

Though his fragile nails complicated many everyday activities, like sleeping, Chillal has led a mostly normal life.

So Chillal did exactly that, spending the next six decades or so growing them out to record levels.
