Tekashi 6ix9ine Has Been Arrested For Allegedly Choking A 16-Year-Old

Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine unsuccessfully requested bail in a NY courtroom on Thursday, and will be remit into custody until officials extradite him to Texas next month. New reports claim the "King of New York" must remain behind bars after getting nabbed this week on an arrest warrant.

Tekashi and his attorneys were in court Thursday asking the judge to let him out on bail.

It was mentioned by the prosecutor that 6ix9ine is a flight risk, which weighed into the court's decision to keep him locked up.

Tekashi didn't fight his extradition and will have to cool his heels in lockup until July 20 when Texas authorities are slated to pick him up. TMZ broke the story ... He was apprehended at New York's JFK airport upon returning from a European tour - the NYPD were responding to an outstanding warrant for his arrest for an alleged incident of choking a 16-year-old in a Houston, Texas shopping mall.
