Patrice Evra has hit out at Paul Pogba's critics, claiming they always talk "b******t" about him and that his compatriot deserves more respect than he receives, following France's World Cup win.

As France revelled in their World Cup win on Sunday, Pogba took to Instagram as he celebrated with his team-mates.

It's already Paul's second triumph at worldwide level, after he captained France's Under-20s to World Cup glory in 2013 and took home the Golden Boy award for the best player at the tournament, following a string of eye-catching performances.

It was a lovely moment for France, who won their first World Cup since 1998, having lost a final 12 years ago to Italy.

Pogba has scored 15 times in 88 games in all competitions since his return to Manchester United from Juventus in an £89m deal.

Paul Pogba's agent, Mina Raiola, has reportedly told Barcelona that his client wants to leave Manchester United.

Firecrackers went off as the state TV proclaimed that "we are still not aware of what we have done". The win "shows that the French people are consolidated and the work of all France", said Omar Bzi.

The World Cup star made a decision to sing the familiar tune during a winners' photoshoot.

'At United he's not receiving a ball off a player like [Andrea] Pirlo, the balls aren't getting to him quick enough in the right areas.

"It's down to Jose [Mourinho] now to unlock the Pogba we saw at this World Cup".

"He maybe isn't being put in the right positions at the start of the game, and this is the manager's job to figure it out".

Ajax manager Erik ten Hag said: "He is a player with a lot of experience in the Premier League and in the Dutch national team".
