A day after his meeting with Putin, Trump "clarified" his statements at a press conference saying he had full faith in the conclusion of United States intelligence agencies that Russian Federation interfered with the 2016 U.S. election.

President Donald Trump's next meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin will focus on national security concerns the leaders discussed earlier this week in Finland.

"That's not my role".

Trump has caused confusion throughout the week with his back-and-forth statements on Russia's interference with the 2016 elections. "More than others. So I think we'll continue to look at what that means and be prepared for the next time", she said.

This ordeal was eclipsed Thursday by the announcement that Putin had been invited to the White House for a visit this fall. NBC's Andrea Mitchell, who was moderating the event, shared the development. Coats, for one, said he does not know what happened during the meeting.

"Say that again", he said. "OK".

"OK", he continued, pausing for a deep breath. "There is such unbridled passion that even people who can normally have a reasonable discussion, just go overboard", Rivera said.

Trump has come under widespread domestic criticism about the meeting.

The former Republican lawmaker was banned from travelling to Russian Federation in 2014 for calling out its annexation of Crimea. GOP leadership and Trump's own intelligence officials again affirmed that Russian Federation was responsible for the hacking and influence campaign.

They are angry, however, at proposals by USA lawmakers to question Trump's translator about what the men discussed privately.

US intelligence officials have said Moscow is targeting congressional elections in November as well. "They are the ones who are trying to wreak havoc over our election process".

Trudeau set to shuffle cabinet Wednesday
Brodie believes Blair will make things personal for Ford and the Liberals will hope the premier "gets unhinged". Senior Conservative legislator Lisa Raitt said the shuffle was "a desperate attempt" to hit the reset button.

Earlier Mr Trump rejected a proposal by Mr Putin that Russian Federation be allowed to question United States citizens.

'Now, with that being said, if that doesn't work out, I'll be the worst enemy he's ever had.

Coats took the extraordinary step of publicly contradicting Trump shortly after the president's meeting with Putin in Helsinki, saying the American intelligence community stands by its assessment. A few of Trump's most loyal toadies defended him.

Despite two and a half years of claims - and searches both high and low - that Russian Federation helped to elect Trump and Trump somehow colluded with Russian Federation, no concrete evidence has yet been delivered by the intelligence community or the mainstream media that such a thing occurred.

This sounds like something North Korea would say.

Coats noted that Pompeo has projected a longer time frame.

This story was reported by The Associated Press. "We're going to have to see", he said, answering a question from a reporter on 30 June.

In its proposal, which the general said is being considered by Washington, Russia hopes to set up a joint group to fund the restoration of Syria's infrastructure. "The Russians do bold things, extraordinary things".

In the eyes of Lt. Col. Daniel Davis, a retired US army officer and now defense expert at Defense Priorities, a think tank, has said that "in regards USA interests, it is important not to focus too strongly on style over substance; personalities over policies".

Either way, he said the USA must stand strong against China's effort to steal business secrets and academic research.
