There digs at Kanye West ("I'm givin' this lasagne a massage while preparing to announce I'm joining ISIS!"), Netflix ("Everyone gets a special") and singing grapes. It also ends with a joke about MacFarlane's other Fox show, his live-action sci-fi dramedy The Orville.

"We are a year out, so we are writing episodes this month that won't air for a year", showrunner Rich Appel told reporters.

"Why do you hate that show so much?"

Elsewhere in the new trailer for Season 17 of Family Guy, there's a farting Demogorgon from Stranger Things, a few callbacks to the infamous Sharon Stone scene from Basic Instinct, but with Peter playing the part.

Family Guy is known for the parodies, but it's also known for the musical aspects as well.

The episode (airdate TBA) will find Trump hand-selecting Peter as his new White House communications director after learning that the Quahog Brewery shipping clerk is an expert seller of fake news.

The CW's The Flash returns for a firth season on October 9, and the cast and crew return Saturday to Comic-Con International: San Diego to talk about what to expect.

Family Guy is set to introduce President Donald Trump in an upcoming episode of Season 17, EW.com reports.

"Although this episode was written nearly a year ago, fortunately Trump has done nothing since then to embarrass himself or our nation", Sulkin and Appel told EW.

The Family Guy producers revealed at a Comic-Con panel on Saturday that a different episode will address the loss of the delightful, delusional Mayor Adam West and pay tribute to his memory by renaming the town's high school "Adam West High".

West, who died previous year at the age of 88, had a significant recurring role on the series, lending his voice to more than 100 episodes. That same episode will find Quagmire and Brian facing off in Quahog's mayoral race to succeed West.

Before West's death, the Batman actor recorded lines for several episodes, all of which aired as originally planned to honor him. "In person and on our show, he was irreplaceable".

Family Guy returns to Fox on September 30th with their 17th season.
