Aaron Rodgers Encourages Players To "Ignore" Trump's Inflammatory Comments

It appears that some of the rookie wideouts are the focus of his displeasure.

Rodgers was running the scout team, which suggests he won't be playing in the Packers' first preseason game on Thursday.

Rodgers, in his comments to Silver, expressed frustration with the criticism he and other players have received, both from Trump and from many fans via social media, that those who stage protests during the anthem, or at least aren't overtly opposed to doing so, are disrespecting the US military.

There is some work to catch up to Rodgers' high standards.

"It was one of the worst cards sessions we've had".

The quarterback continued, "You know, people have their opinion - you shouldn't do it during the anthem, you shouldn't do it during this - that's fine". He was referring to how coaches will hold up an opponent's play during the period. You literally have what the play would be in our terminology of the card.

"[James] knows he has the support of his contemporaries", Rodgers said about James, "in his own sport and in other sports". "Because you're doing a guy's deal a year before he's ready to play, especially young guys".

"I was just answering the question", Rodgers told reporters. He didn't call out any players by name, but he did make sure to single out those he feels are role models, such as veterans Davante Adams, Randall Cobb and Jimmy Graham. I think (DeAngelo) Yancey has really progressed, (Geronimo Allison), obviously 16 (Jake Kumerow).

So Rodgers may have been targeting rookies from this year's draft - J'Mon Moore, Marquez Valdez-Scantling and Equanimeous St.

"I think that the more that we give credence to stuff like that, the more it's gonna live on", Rodgers said in a lengthy interview with NFL.com's Michael Silver.

The team's younger receivers apparently failed to run a play that was drawn up on a card, and that infuriated the quarterback. In the National Basketball Association, the only thing that stops LeBron James and, like, DeMar DeRozan from making the same amount of money is how many years they have been in the league.

"Well, I'm getting older and grumpier".

"I think I would not allow the franchise tags", Rodgers said, via The Ringer. I'm exhausted, too; we're all a little exhausted. You have people in the concession, people in the bathroom; you've got cameramen on their knee watching.

"Certainly Aaron, his comments, his example, his leadership has a profound effect on the ballclub, the offense in particular and the whole team in general", Philbin said.
