Business owners not happy with the new Tobacco Bill

There are five key areas of tobacco control that the new bill seeks to address: A smoke-free public places policy, plain or standardised cigarette packaging, regulating e-cigarettes, points of sale marketing, and removing cigarette vending machines. Business owners say the Bill will kill their businesses. The Draft Control of Tobacco Products and Electronic Delivery Systems Bill close for public comment on Thursday.

The WHO's convention calls for 100 percent smoke-free public places to protect non-smokers fully. "The new law will, without a doubt, put the lives of our patrons at risk", he said.
