Arsenal have opted against pursuing a deadline day move for Croatia defender Domagoj Vida after Unai Emery told the club he was happy with his defensive options, reports say.

However, Emery is a coach famed for his tactical nous and attention to detail, with Carragher reckoning that it will be a very different Arsenal we see in the Premier League this season - even comparing the Gunners boss to master tactician, Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez.

Welbeck is considering his future at the club, with just 24 hours left in the Premier League window, and he is believed be on the shortlist of a number of clubs.

"In the past, Arsenal have won games on great football, individual brilliance and having great attacking players".

1,000 jobs at risk as Homebase closes 60 stores
It comes as House of Fraser is searching for funding to prevent the firm collapsing. Hilco took over Homebase from Wesfarmers for a nominal £1 fee in May.

The England global would need to agree a move quickly due to Premier League clubs shutting their transfer window early; he could still go overseas after Thursday.

As per a report from The London Evening Standard, Everton, Bournemouth and Southampton are interested in the player, with regular game time not guaranteed at the Emirates.

The manager hasn't faced many major challenges at the North London club but it seems he has finally got one which is - Aaron Ramsey not signing a new contract yet the club has offered the Welsh global a deal but the midfielder is hesitating to sign it for un known reasons.

If Ramsey does sign a fresh contract then it could prove to be one of the best pieces of business of the summer for Arsenal, as it removes the risk of losing another key player for little to no money, following the fan provoking recent losses of the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Alexis Sanchez.
