Sony has just announced a limited edition PlayStation 4 Pro to celebrate the company having sold 525.3 million PlayStation systems worldwide. "Here's to the next 500 million adventures, epic moments and memories made with friends and family".

Price-wise, the PlayStation 4 Pro 500 Million Limited Edition can be obtained for RM 2,149 in Malaysia starting from 24 August onwards.

There'll also be a commemorative Gold Wireless Headset 500 Million Limited Edition, which features the same "dark blue translucent design with copper detailing".

It comes as House of Fraser is searching for funding to prevent the firm collapsing. Hilco took over Homebase from Wesfarmers for a nominal £1 fee in May.

The 500 Million Limited Edition PlayStation 4 Pro will include a translucent dark blue console shell and matching DualShock 4 wireless controller, two terabyte hard drive, PlayStation Camera, vertical stand, and mono headset for $499.99 Dollars / $639.99 CAD / €499.99 / 49,980 yen and be limited to 50,000 units worldwide.

Usually, Sony India has been exceptionally proactive with bringing PS4 bundles and accessories to India and this should make it as well. Only 50,000 of them will be sold worldwide, and they will become available on August 24, 2018.

The console will come with a massive 2 TB hard disk drive, and it will cost $499.99 Dollars or $639.99 CAD in North America and €499 in Europe. However, only a select few (an unknown number) will have special serial numbers commemorating special dates in PlayStation history. The one you buy might even feature the PS4 U.S. release date serial number 01115, or 01013 for the PSVR launch date. The DualShock 4 500 Million Limited Edition variant can also be purchased separately for RM 259.
