One of those reporters, Michael Bridge, was at the gates of Crystal Palace's Beckenham training complex early in the day, providing a live update on the London club's transfer activity (or lack of it).

Bridge was able to laugh off the incident, taking it in his stride as he told the presenters in the studio: 'Oh my God, I've just been splashed!

Fortunately, Bridge appeared to see the amusing side of the incident and minutes later, had an apology from the culprit.
