Following court papers filed by Ange on Tuesday claiming Brad hasn't paid any "meaningful" child support for their six children - Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 11 and nine-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne - in 18 months, the World War Z actor has debunked his estranged wife's claims.

Pitt's lawyer, Lance Spiegel, filed a court brief in the Superior Court of the State of California on Wednesday in which he addressed claims that he's not paid "meaningful child support".

Pitt's attorneys said in documents they filed for him that Jolie Pitt's lawyers have made no mention that she had any problems with the amounts he has given her for the children. Pitt reportedly "loaned" Jolie $8 million to help her purchase a house and has since contributed $1.3 million in various bills and other benefits for the children. It's not clear what child-support arrangements the couple has in place during the divorce process.

The "Maleficent" actress said on Tuesday that she wanted to expedite the divorce and return to single status by the end of 2018.

Brad was asked to assist in the expense of a new home for Angelina and the children, but instead he loaned Angelina money, for which he is charging her interest on a payment plan. Neither side specified what those issues were.

The actor moved on with Angelina after he met her on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith but after 11 years together, two of which they were married, Brange announced they were separating in 2016.

The insider also claimed that Jolie never requested child support from her ex until the recent court filing. Pitt's response said that a status conference that is already scheduled would serve the same goal.

The incident was reported and Pitt was investigated by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, but was later cleared of wrongdoing.

Jolie's legal team had a few choice words for Pitt's filing as well.

According to an eyewitness source cited by Us Weekly, Pitt held two hours-long meetings with his attorneys in Los Angeles on the same day Jolie submitted her filing.
