Cam Newton, Kelvin Benjamin Have Awkward Exchange Before Panthers-Bills Preseason Game

Earlier this week, former Carolina Panthers WR Kelvin Benjamin pretty much blasted his entire time with the franchise, especially Cam Newton and questioned his intelligence at the QB position.

In fact, the complete opposite happened!

"It was a bad fit from the get-go", Kelvin told The Athletic.

I mean, I felt like I would've been even more successful if.

"I ain't gonna go back and forth with him, I'm just gonna work", Newton said. If you would've put me with any other quarterback, let's be real, you know what I'm saying?

It was a not-so-veiled shot at Cam Newton, which led to a curious scene ahead of Thursday's preseason game between the Bills and Panthers.

And first overall pick Baker Mayfield will take the National Football League field for the first time on Thursday night when the Cleveland Browns (-1) visit the New York Giants.

Tommy Fleetwood British Open payout: Wrong Fleetwood gets $154K
Speaking at Bellerive ahead of the US PGA Championship, Tommy Fleetwood said: " I honestly didn't know anything about it ". It looks pretty genuine and they are looking into it and I'm sure they'll feel pretty bad about it. 'It's a amusing story.

Newton did his best to sidestep the comments by Benjamin.

It appears Kelvin Benjamin and Cam Newton won't be squashing their beef anytime soon.

A picture from Max Henson of Panthers.com confirms Cam's, ahem, displeasure with the situation.

Charlotte Observer visual journalist Jeff Siner captured the exchange, which quickly lit up social media. Benjamin tries to walk away, but Cam is having nothing of it, and finally Benjamin is just like "I'm out".

Cam has every right to be upset.

Benjamin wasn't all that interested in talking, though. As well, Andrew Luck will return from last year's season-ending injury in Indianapolis at Seattle (-2) and Deshaun Watson will do the same as his Houston Texans are 2.5-point road underdogs against the Kansas City Chiefs.

This game against the Bills the focus will be on those reserve players.
