Although the DC Universe streaming service's upcoming Titans series won't have long standing member Cyborg in their initial line-up of heroes, the character is confirmed for another DC Universe streaming show: Doom Patrol. In Doom Patrol, Joivan Wade is set to play Victor Stone, a.k.a. Cyborg.

According to the official description, "Vic Stone is the charming and sarcastic half-human, half-machine superhero known as Cyborg".

Joivan Wade's previous credits include Youngers, The Weekend Movie, The First Purge, Eastenders, and Doctor Who. The initial description for Doom Patrol revealed that the heroes are called to action by Cyborg, who needs their help for a hard mission but knows that none of their lives will ever be the same if they undertake the mission. Cyborg will appear in Doom Patrol alongside Niles Caulder, Elasti-Woman, Robotman, Negativeman, and Crazy Jane. Desperate to gain acceptance from the outside world, he harnesses the curse of his cybernetic body and uses his powers as the ultimate hero for the digital age. Or, at the very least, we should expect a reference or two to his existence.

DC Universe will be available sometime this fall.

The Note 9's camera upgrade is on par with the one given to the S9 in March, adding enhanced colours and exposure. The fingerprint sensor is now below the camera, whereas the Note 8 had the sensor next to the cameras.

Cyborg's last live-action appearance was in the "Justice League" movie, in which he was played by Ray Fisher. The announcement comes a month after April Bowlby was confirmed as portraying Rita Farr, aka Elasti-Woman/Elasti-Girl, in the new series from Greg Berlanti and Warner Bros. TV. This is, at least in part, why Batman hasn't shown up in The CW's Arrowverse and why Gotham can't call Dominic Monoghan's character The Joker by name.

As for the DC Universe streaming service as a whole, it is now in beta with a full launch planned for this fall. Doom Patrol, which comes from showrunner and producer Jeremy Carver doesn't yet have a premiere date.

Besides the call to action we already talked about, it is still unknown how Cyborg fits into the Doom Patrol story line.

Jeremy Carver (Being Human, Supernatural) will serve as both showrunner and executive producer, alongside Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns and Sarah Schechter - because there can not be a DC property on television that Berlanti doesn't have some hand in.
