Barcelona have found Gomes an escape after a torrid time with them.

Everton are conducting the final round of talks as they look to rush through deals for Barcelona's Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes before the 5pm Premier League deadline.

"I chose Everton because of all the things I had heard about Marco Silva and after speaking to him I was happy with what he said to me", Bernard told the club's wbesite.

Silva has been desperate to bolster Everton's defence all summer and had been linked with a number of targets, such as Manchester United's Marcus Rojo and Newcastle's Jamaal Lascelles, but Mina was his top target. A loan move for Chelsea's Kurt Zouma was also being worked on after a deal sheet was submitted to the Premier League for the defender.

The Everton deals come as a frantic end to what has been a superb transfer window for the Toffees, with the club also bringing in Lucas Digne and Richarlison. "I believe I will be able to show my best as a player here".

Hollywood Walk of Fame covered in Trump stars after vandalism
Donald Trump "Stars" pasted all over Hollywood Blvd! The stickers were partially funded by a "young and anonymous entrepreneur". The City of Los Angeles owns the property, so they will have the final decision on whether or not Trump's star will be removed.

The 23-year-old Mina, who was impressive in defence at this year's World Cup in Russian Federation where he also scored three goals, will rejuvenate an ageing Everton back line while offering a threat from set-pieces at the other end of the pitch.

The fee could rise by 1.5 million euros (RM7.1 million), and Barcelona have inserted a buy-back clause in the player's contract.

Colombia defender Mina, who impressed in the World Cup, could eventually cost €31.75million, while Gomes arrives on a season-long loan.

The 23-year-old only joined Barcelona from Palmeiras in the January transfer window.
