First PC gameplay footage released for DOOM Eternal

Gameplay for Doom Eternal will be shown off for the first time amid the actual QuakeCon keynote, so expect more info to unravel as the event starts.

We'll cover more details about what's coming, but this is a big, big change, and it reflects a new approach to the game: "We're not just making a Doom game anymore", id's Marty Stratton said. Announced with a CG trailer that could have been for any Doom we were told that we'd eventually get the goods at QuakeCon, and here we are on August 10 - the stream will be going live shortly at 12PM ET. We also got a look a Phobos, which isn't quite as disgusting, as it hasn't been completely overtaken by demons yet.

Developed by id Software, DOOM Eternal promises to bring the ultimate combination of speed and power with the next leap in push-forward, first-person combat. You can even team up with other players to form a Doom Slayer hunting party.
