Will you be watching Minhaj's Patriot Act?

The weekly show is set to premiere on October 28, with Minhaj using his "unique comedic voice and storytelling skill to explore the larger trends shaping our fragmented world", according to a show description.

Patriot Act comes from former Daily Show correspondent Hasan Minhaj, whose one-man show Homecoming King won a Peabody Award earlier this year and is one of TV Guide's 10 best stand-up specials on Netflix. Each week, Minhaj will investigate the trends shaping our messy world using his storytelling ability and distinct point of view. It's slated to premiere on Sunday, Oct. 28. More details have arrived via a Netflix press release, and the streaming service has committed to an unusually large number of weekly episodes for the project that shall not only star Minhaj, but he's executive producing as well.

The researcher said the event may compel Inslee to use some of his political capital to help the orcas sooner than expected. She has been carrying the calf with her for 16 straight days.

"I'm thrilled to be joining the Netflix family as the country braces for another election season - and like you, I can not wait to find out who [Russian President Vladimir] Putin picks this time", he said in a statement when the show was first announced. A first-generation American, Minhaj joined The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, where he was Jon's last hire, in November 2014 as a correspondent and continued on in that role after Trevor Noah took over as host the following year.

Minhaj is departing "The Daily Show" to host the weekly Netflix program. He's also kicking off a 16-city North American Tour, Before The Storm, on August 11th.
