Investigators looking into Ohio State's handling of domestic violence allegations against former assistant Zach Smith have approached local law enforcement and members of the Buckeyes athletic department for information, ESPN.com reported.

Ohio State announced Sunday the investigation is expected to be wrapped up within 14 days.

Smith was sacked July 23 after reports surfaced that his ex-wife, Courtney, filed an order of protection against him. His ex-wife, Courtney Smith, believes Meyer knew of the 2015 incident involving her and Smith, but didn't act.

"I was out recruiting on a bye week, I was on a practice field and I found out about the abuse because Gene Smith called me and said Zach you need to be on the next plane home, your ex-wife has brought forth domestic abuse allegations", Zach Smith told 105.7 FM in Columbus, Ohio, Aug. 3.

"When she found out five years ago that Zach had cheated on her, she was so angry that she vowed to me she would get back at him someday".

As far as ever hearing her daughter say she would "take Zach down", [Tina Carano] replied, "Yes". "And this is exactly what she did".

When the prosecutor asked what Mr Stokes was looking at, he said: "I might just be looking at the night sky". The Durham all-rounder, who denies affray, has taken to the stand for a second day at Bristol Crown Court.

"She has been planning this for some time".

When asked if she believed her daughter's claims of physical abuse, she replied, "I believe that Zach was removing himself from an argument and I do not believe he intentionally abused her".

According to Lynn Bruce, Tina Carano and her daughter, Courtney Smith, "do not speak anymore".

Ohio State placed Meyer on paid administrative leave last week after text messages from Smith's wife, Courtney, obtained by reporter Brett McMurphy, appeared to show that Meyer's wife, Shelley, was aware of the allegations.

Meyer will also not be allowed on school property during the investigation, which could be completed within two weeks.
