Lance Armstrong Hospitalized After Bloody Bike Crash

In the case of Armstrong's recent ride though, sometimes you're the bike and sometimes you're the ground.

The 46-year-old athlete badly injured his face and was forced to go undergo a medical check in a local hospital to find out whether his head was injured in the crash.

Armstrong was on the Tom Blake Mountain Bike Trail in Snowmass Village when he got into the accident.

"Well, sometimes you're the hammer and sometimes you're the nail", he wrote in the Instagram caption, adding if the fall would've happened when he was young, he would've avoided the hospital at all costs. Thankfully, the former professional road racing cyclist seemed to be alright after seeing a doctor.

A total of 10 people in the region were hospitalized for minor injuries due to the flash floods. 'No one has suitcases. The mayor of Bagnols, Jean-Yves Chapelet, told BFM-TV many Dutch tourists were among 350 campers evacuated there.

The disgraced United States cyclist reported that he "took quite the blow to the noggin" and was checked out at Aspen Valley Hospital.

In his post he also thanked the medical staff who treated him and added that he chose to get checked out at hospital as at 46 years old, he is more cautious about his health than he was in youth.

Lance was infamously banned from cycling and stripped of his seven Tour de France titles in 2012 after a USDA report placed him in the middle of a doping program, but these days, he is moving on from the incident.
